District Events & News
First I want to thank all units for participating in the Akela Cub at Camp
Currier this year. It is a perfect time for new Scouts to go on their
first campout and experience nature as all other Scouts have and should. When
we recruit new Scouts we promise them that they will have the opportunity to
experience the outdoors and Akela Cub is a great way to do that.
Next I want to thank all units for a successful popcorn sale this year.
The Tallaha District had an increase over 2012 and we also had a several new
units join the sale this year. Keith Fulcher (TA Product Sales Chairman)
did an awesome job this in organizing units, pick location, and marketing the
sale. There are too many people to thank for helping unload and load the
product on Thursday, but I am grateful for everyone’s help.
