The Summit Chosen as Site of
2019 World Scout Jamboree
The Summit Bechtel Family National Scout Reserve has been chosen as the site of the 24th World Scout Jamboree in 2019. The event will be hosted jointly by the Boy Scouts of America, Scouts Canada, and the Scout Association of Mexico, and will be the first world Scout jamboree held in the United States since the 12th world gathering was held at Farragut State Park, Idaho, in 1967. The 22nd World Scout Jamboree will be held this year in Rinkaby, Sweden, while the 23rd annual event will take place at Kirarahama, Yamaguchi, Japan, in 2015.
